Four Thousand Weeks
By Oliver Burkeman · 2021
This book touches on Embracing finitude, meaning, and acknowledging that you can't do everything perfectly, and why should you want to, anyways?
I started reading this book at a pretty sensitive point a few months back. As someone who has struggled with self-critisism, procrastination and work/life imbalance, the lessons in this book resonated with me. I’m not a big reader of the productivity or self-help genre, but this one was actually quite nice as it is a very human approach towards being content in work and life, being okay with sucking at some things, and the ways in which modern capitalist societal norms towards work and productivity have obscured humans’ natural ways of going about life.
I have, since finishing this book, recommended it to many of my close friends.
